UPDATE: Storm Pipe Installation on U.S. 36 in FortvilleHANCOCK COUNTY, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation contractor Milestone Contractors LP. announces new closure date on U.S. 36 in Fortville. Beginning on or after Monday, August 7, crews will close the intersection of Walnut Street and U.S. 36 for two days, weather permitting. The south side of U.S. 36 will be closed and the north side of U.S. will remain open for westbound U.S. 36 travel during this closure. Crews will work to complete a storm pipe installation. East High Street and S. Main Street will be open during this time. S. Main Street will be open for one-way traffic going southbound. Crews will reopen Walnut Street once the work is completed. INDOT encourages drivers to consider worker safety by slowing down, using extra caution and driving distraction-free when travelling in and around all work zones. |
