UPDATE: SOUTHSIDE LANE CLOSURE – U.S. 36 IN FORTVILLE

UPDATE to Right Lane Closure on U.S. 36 in Fortville

HANCOCK COUNTY, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation contractor Milestone Contractors LP. announces a lane closure on U.S. 36 in Fortville.

Beginning on or after Friday, May 5th, crews will close the southside/right lane of U.S. 36 eastbound between State Road 234 and Industrial Dr. This closure will allow crews to install new sanitary and storm sewers, curbs and gutters, sidewalk, curb ramps and driveway installations. This work is expected to be complete mid November. 

The official detour is U.S. 36 to S.R. 234 to S.R. 9 back to U.S. 36. 

INDOT encourages drivers to consider worker safety by slowing down, using extra caution and driving distraction-free when travelling in and around all work zones.
