INDOT announces southside right lane (north eastbound) closure on U.S. 36 (S.R. 67 / Broadway Street / Pendleton Pike) in Fortville. Closure begins on or after MONDAY, APRIL 24th, 2023, crews will close the southside right lane (north eastbound) of U.S. 36 between Garden St. and Industrial Dr. This closure will allow crews to install new sanitary and storm sewers, curbs, and gutters, sidewalk, curb ramps and driveway installations. This phase is expected to be completed by late July ’23 to be followed by the next phase which is expected to be completed by late November ’23. Work will start back up following the holidays, in early ’24.

The official detour for any north-eastbound traffic is U.S. 36 (S.R. 67 / Broadway Street / Pendleton Pike) to S.R. 234 to S.R. 9 back to U.S. 36. (See map below.)
