Storm Pipe Installation on U.S. 36 in Fortville

HANCOCK COUNTY, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation contractor Milestone Contractors LP. announces closure on U.S. 36 in Fortville.

Beginning on or after Thursday, August 3rd, crews will close the intersection of Walnut Street and U.S. 36 for two days, weather permitting. This closure will allow crews to complete a storm pipe installation. East High Street and S. Main Street will be open during this time. S. Main Street will be open for one-way traffic going southbound. Crews will reopen Walnut Street once the work is completed.

INDOT encourages drivers to consider worker safety by slowing down, using extra caution and driving distraction-free when travelling in and around all work zones.
