Fortville has two town parks: Memorial Park and Landmark Park.
Overall they are well maintained by the Parks Department and a source of much community pride and involvement.

Memorial Park – 25 Acres
This community park is a large natural park situated at the junction of
Stottlemeyer Ditch and Jackson Ditch that create its rolling hillsides and
running water. Many large trees make this an ideal park setting for
picnicking, hiking, walking, etc. The park also has many facilities for
active recreation as well as playground equipment.

Jackson Ditch flows through Fortville Memorial Park, just south of the
paved entry road into the park. Stottlemeyer Ditch forms the north
boundary of Fortville Memorial Park. It is these ditches/creeks and the
adjacent banks and vegetation, which create the natural setting of this

Landmark Park – 3.2 Acres
This park is in a more urban setting, as it is centrally located one-half
block from the main street of town. It has an area adjacent to the
Methodist Church for passive recreation with paved walks through a
landscaped setting, and a gazebo. It also has a soccer/football
