The Town of Fortville is accepting resumes for the position of Utility Clerk/Receptionist. The hours for this position will be Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Essential Job Description:
Answers phones and directs calls to proper individual; records messages as needed.
Assists public with utility payments, questions and complaints.
Maintains and tracks work orders.
Collects & receipts all fees related to utilities, parks, and police department.
Maintains office inventory and orders forms, receipts, and other related needs.
Regular attendance and punctuality are required of this position.
Maintains event calendar for Shelter House, Community Center, and Council Room.
Performs other duties as assigned by Office Manager
High School diploma or GED: supplemented by 3-5 years previous experience and/or training in customer service or related work. Ability to calculate and tabulate data. Computer literacy, specifically Microsoft Office Suite is preferred. Experience with Keystone Billing Software a plus!
Ability to provide guidance, direction and assistance to others regarding procedures and standards of the office. Ability to work on multiple projects, handle a high-volume workload, and meet deadlines.
